Frequently asked questions

How engagements work, what they cost, who owns the output, and when to start. If your question is not here, ask it directly.

Engagement

Do you work with clients outside Nigeria?

Yes. The practice has worked across seven African countries and takes international remote engagements. Discovery sessions run virtually, and delivery is unaffected by distance.

We are small. Are we too early for this?

Probably not. The Clarity Package exists precisely for early-stage founders, small NGOs and church organisations. It is a diagnostic, not a commitment — and knowing what to fix first is worth more at that stage than a full identity system.

Pricing

Why does brand strategy cost this much?

You are not buying a logo. You are buying the positioning, architecture, governance and applications that make an organisation legible to funders, partners and talent. Brand work is usually the cheapest lever available for changing how seriously an organisation is taken.

Which package is right for us?

If you need direction, start with Clarity — it is a diagnostic and it will tell you what you actually need. If you know you need a complete system, Authority. If you are an institution with sub-brands, governance requirements or funder-facing reporting, Legacy. When in doubt, start with Clarity; it is credited against a larger engagement if you proceed.

Process

How does an engagement begin?

Every engagement starts with a questionnaire, then a discovery session. This is non-negotiable and it is not administrative — the quality of the intake determines the quality of the work. Most clients tell us it was the most useful hour of the project, because it is usually where the real problem surfaces.

How long does a project take?

It depends on scope. A Clarity diagnostic runs about two weeks. The Authority Package — full positioning and identity — runs six to eight weeks. Legacy engagements are institutional partnerships and are scoped individually. We give you a dated schedule before work begins, not an estimate.

What are the five phases?

Discover, Diagnose, Design, Deliver, Deploy. Every engagement follows all five at every tier. The important one is Diagnose: you see and agree the diagnosis before any recommendation is made, so you are never presented with a solution to a problem you did not accept.

How many rounds of revision are included?

Two rounds are included in every engagement. In practice, the phased model means far fewer are needed — because alignment happens at Diagnose rather than at the end, when changes are expensive.

IP & Ownership

Who owns the work?

You do. On final payment, full ownership of the delivered brand assets transfers to your organisation, including source files. We retain the right to show the work in our portfolio and case studies — and we always ask before publishing anything about a client.

Do we get the source files?

Yes — AI, PDF, PNG and SVG as appropriate, plus the brand guidelines document and application templates. You are never locked into us to make a poster.

Is the methodology proprietary?

The five-phase delivery model and the frameworks behind it remain the intellectual property of TheAcemanplus Ventures. Your brand system, and everything produced for you, is yours.

Payment

What are the payment terms?

Engagements are invoiced in instalments tied to phases, not dates — so payment follows delivered work. Terms are set out in the proposal before anything begins. We do not start design work before the intake is complete and the first instalment is settled.

Can we pay in USD?

Yes. Prices are quoted in Naira with USD equivalents, and international clients are invoiced in USD. Exchange rate is fixed at the date of the proposal so the price does not move under you mid-project.

Programmes

Is the MasterClass really free?

Yes, currently. The Business & Brand Development MasterClass runs over four weeks with live sessions and assignments. It is free at present, and places are limited by cohort.

Still unsure?

Ask directly. A specific question usually gets a more useful answer than a brochure.
