Visual Identity Design

Logo systems, colour architecture, typography, iconography and the application templates that keep them intact.

Overview

What this discipline covers

An identity is a system, not a picture. A logo on its own cannot tell a designer which colour belongs on a funder report, how large a heading should be on a slide, or what a social post should feel like.

We design the full visual system — logo, colour, typography, iconography and layout — and then the guidelines and templates that let your team apply it correctly on the hundredth document, not just the first.

Design follows strategy here, never the other way round. Where the positioning is not yet clear, we settle it first, so every colour, typeface and layout rule has a reason your team can explain. You receive the working files in the formats your suppliers need, with two revision rounds built into delivery.

Who it is for

  • Organisations launching or rebranding
  • Teams producing a lot of material without an in-house designer
  • Organisations whose identity no longer matches their size or seriousness

Is this you?

Signs you need this.

If two or more of these sound familiar, this is where to start.

  • Your logo looks slightly different on every document
  • Every designer you work with starts from scratch
  • Your slides, reports and social posts do not look like one organisation
  • You are about to launch, rebrand or raise, and your materials do not match the ambition
