An intake questionnaire
5 questions for Clarity, 19 for Authority, 30 for Legacy. Your answers save as you go, so you can stop and continue later.
How we work
Every engagement follows the same five phases, at every tier. The order matters: most brand projects fail because the solution was agreed before the problem was.
The model
Each phase ends with a named deliverable, from the Discovery Report to the Deployment Support Report.
Intake questionnaire, a 60–90 minute discovery session, and a scan of your competitive landscape.
Discovery Report in 5 working days
Findings become insights. You see the diagnosis and agree it before any recommendation is made.
Strategic Priority Statement
Positioning, architecture, identity and voice, built against the diagnosis you agreed.
Brand System Document
Presentation and walkthrough, up to two revision rounds, final files and handover.
Final Deliverables Package
Orientation for your team, implementation support, a 30-day check-in and a 90-day review.
Deployment Support Report
Commitments
The same commitments apply at every tier.
5 questions for Clarity, 19 for Authority, 30 for Legacy. Your answers save as you go, so you can stop and continue later.
Findings, observations and strategic hypotheses from your intake and discovery session, with you within five working days.
The Insight Synthesis Document and Strategic Priority Statement are presented for alignment. Nothing is recommended until you agree them.
A presentation and walkthrough, up to two revision rounds, then final files and a handover guide your team can use.
A brand orientation session with your team, implementation support where in scope, and a check-in after 30 days.
A review at 90 days, reported in the Deployment Support Report: implementation quality and recommended adjustments.
Questions
The questions founders and organisations ask most before they start.
Every engagement starts with a questionnaire, then a discovery session. This is non-negotiable and it is not administrative — the quality of the intake determines the quality of the work. Most clients tell us it was the most useful hour of the project, because it is usually where the real problem surfaces.
You are not buying a logo. You are buying the positioning, architecture, governance and applications that make an organisation legible to funders, partners and talent. Brand work is usually the cheapest lever available for changing how seriously an organisation is taken.
Engagements are invoiced in instalments tied to phases, not dates — so payment follows delivered work. Terms are set out in the proposal before anything begins. We do not start design work before the intake is complete and the first instalment is settled.
You do. On final payment, full ownership of the delivered brand assets transfers to your organisation, including source files. We retain the right to show the work in our portfolio and case studies — and we always ask before publishing anything about a client.
Yes. The practice has worked across seven African countries and takes international remote engagements. Discovery sessions run virtually, and delivery is unaffected by distance.
Yes, currently. The Business & Brand Development MasterClass runs over four weeks with live sessions and assignments. It is free at present, and places are limited by cohort.
